The Albany County Recreation Department has started construction on two new courts at the Albany County Hockey Facility.
The courts will be located on the edge of the Albany International Airport. The asphalt has already been laid and the county has plans to have the court surfaced and lined for pickleball by the end of September. A fence will also be placed around the courts.
Justin Atlas, director of the county’s recreation department, said players are excited about the courts. Atlas she the county will host leagues at the court and indoors at the Watervliet Dome.
Now when you plane is delayed at the airport, you will have something fun to do.
