Dink for a Cure Pickleball Tournament at Dick’s House of Sport on Sept. 30

The Arthritis Foundation is hosting a pickleball tournament at Dick’s House of Sport in Latham, N.Y., on Sept. 30 to raise money for arthritis research and services to support adults and children with arthritis.

Dick’s is sponsoring the event and will set up eight temporary courts in the store’s parking lot. The event will also feature vendors and tables for sponsors.

There are novice and intermediate events for women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles. Each event will take about 2 to 3 hours from start to finish.

The tournament will take place Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. The event location is Dick’s House of Sport, 579 Troy-Schenectady Rd. Latham, New York 12110.

SPORTIME Schenectady unveils pickleball membership and programs

SPORTIME Schenectady’s five indoor, dedicated pickleball courts are slated to open Sept. 25, 2023. The club released a large slate of pickleball programs ranging from open plays to beginner clinics and advanced leagues. They also offer skill-specific classes like how to hit with your backhand and a “Topspin / Speed Up & Attack Clinic.”
