Clifton Park looks to build 10 pickleball courts at Veterans Park

The Daily Gazette reported that Clifton Park is considering building pickleball courts at Veterans Park.

According to the Gazette:

The project is expected to cost around $538,000 and would include 10 pickleball courts, a covered pavilion and the installation of conduit for potential future electricity.

Clifton Park had previously lined some of its tennis courts with pickleball lines, Barrett said. Because those courts are very close to neighborhoods, there have been some concerns over the noise made by players. Building the project in Veterans Park would ensure any noise would not be an issue.

The proposal also includes an electrical conduit so if the town ever decides to add lighting, it can be done more easily.

The town board is accepting public comments about the project.
