Albany County offers pickleball league for players over 50

Albany County Recreation Department is offering a free pickleball league for residents over age 50.

The league will run at the new courts at the Albany County Hockey Facility near the airport and the Watervliet Dome.

Games will be played Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m. from Sept. 25, 2023, to Nov. 3, 2023. Top teams will participate in a playoff.

SPORTIME Schenectady unveils pickleball membership and programs

SPORTIME Schenectady’s five indoor, dedicated pickleball courts are slated to open Sept. 25, 2023. The club released a large slate of pickleball programs ranging from open plays to beginner clinics and advanced leagues. They also offer skill-specific classes like how to hit with your backhand and a “Topspin / Speed Up & Attack Clinic.”
